Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of Psych on Netflix. If you are sadly unfamiliar with this show, the basic premise is that there is a Sherlockian young man (Shawn Spencer) pretending to be a psychic. His childhood best friend (Burton “Gus” Guster) is his assistant, although they are much more like partners. Shenanigans ensue. You really ought to watch Psych for yourself, but here are some gifs (after the cut) that better explain the pure beauty of the show.

Played by James Roday and Dule Hill respectively, Shawn and Gus are endlessly entertaining. They have great chemistry as lifelong best buds, and they are pretty darn unique characters that are definitely larger than life. How about some quotes from the show (no spoilers)?

Shawn: Gus, don’t be a giant snapping turtle.

Shawn: Gus, don’t be a rabid porcupine.

Shawn: Gus, don’t be exactly half of an eleven pound black forest ham.

Gus: You know that’s right. (repeated line)

Gus: Did you hear about Pluto? That’s messed up.
