Day 13: Where would you like to visit/live one day?

One day, I would like to take a vacation in Palau. Palau is an island nation in the South Pacific that is east of the Philippines and north of Indonesia. Admittedly, I don’t know much about Palau other than the fact that it is the home of Jellyfish Lake.

True to its name, Jellyfish Lake is full of jellyfish, and when I say full, I mean very, very full. As in, so full of jellyfish, this lake is like something out of a surrealist’s dreams. (Or nightmares if said surrealist is scared of jellies.) The cool thing about this lake is that the jellyfish do not sting, so it’s actually possible to swim in the lake, through clouds of jellyfish, and not suffer a horrific and terrifying death.

Part of me thinks that even though the jellyfish are not harmful to humans, I would still be scared to swim in the lake. I’ve been snorkeling before, but there is something about being surrounded by that many aquatic creatures that makes me think I might feel really claustrophobic. Still, it’s one of the most unique experiences that I can think of, so I would still do it even if I was scared.
